Hi, I am a college student but besides studying, I am also working as a service crew. Recently, I was late for work (though I already chatted with the manager about that) because my groupmates and I needed to talk about our research paper. They decided the time and the day of their availability, and I don't want to change that just because I have work. School is still my top priority, so I tell my manager that I will be late. I arrive just 15 minutes after my shift began and he gets mad at me. The next day, he wouldn't allow me to get to the store, and I was fired.
