Help Us Give Daniel More Beautiful Days

My name is Amanda, and my fiancé, Daniel, has been my best friend and the love of my life for the past 10 years.

At only 47 years old, Daniel has been diagnosed with end-stage congestive heart failure. His heart is functioning at only 15–20%, and his doctors have explained that treatment is now focused on managing his symptoms, removing excess fluid when it builds up, and helping him breathe as comfortably as possible. He has endured multiple heart attacks and countless hospitalizations, and each stay has become more difficult than the last.

I lost my job because I chose to be by Daniel's side during his hospital stays and doctor's appointments. He often becomes overwhelmed by the amount of medical information, so I became the one asking questions, taking notes, and making sure we understood everything his doctors were telling us.

If our time together is limited, every minute I get to spend with him is worth more than any job I could have kept.

Today, we're struggling to keep a roof over our heads, keep the electricity on during the Tennessee heat so Daniel can breathe more comfortably, pay for medications, and get him to his medical appointments.

Daniel has one dream he still hopes to fulfill—to stand beneath the giant redwood trees in California and drive along historic Route 66 while he's still able. If we're fortunate enough to receive more support than is needed for our immediate needs, my greatest wish would be to help make that dream come true.

I'm also hoping to replace our broken vehicle with a dependable used car so I can return to earning income through DoorDash, Instacart, or another flexible job while still caring for Daniel and spending as much time with him as possible.

We know we can't stop time, but we're praying for the opportunity to make the most of the time we still have together.
