I have been thinking about CAD drafting services lately, especially during times when multiple projects are running at once and drawing work starts piling up. Even small things like revisions, redlines, or minor layout changes can take more time than expected and slow everything down.
Some teams seem to use CAD drafting services mainly for support tasks, not core design work. Things like updating drawings, cleaning up files, or handling repetitive drafting so the in-house team can focus on coordination and decision-making.
From what I have seen, it only really works when the drafting service follows the same standards, layers, and file structure. Otherwise, it creates more back and forth than it solves.
