One summer, I had to make a quick trip to Portugal to inspect some equipment. When I arrived, I rented a small car so I could make it to a couple of appointments in the suburbs and still get to the airport on time. The plan was simple: drop off the car at the first parking lot outside the building near the terminal and rush to check in. However, a couple of hours before departure, I realized that I had no idea where to leave the car to avoid excessive costs. I quickly logged in to the official Lisbon Airport website https://lisbon-lis-international-airport.com/ from the airport lounge and started studying the differences between the covered P1 wings and the more remote areas. I decided not to risk it and drove to the long-term P3 parking lot, where the prices seemed reasonable. I had never seen such a huge parking lot, but I found an empty space in about three minutes. There is a free bus service that goes directly from there to the terminal building. During the two-minute ride, I was worried about making it to security on time. I paid for my pre-saved reservation at the exit booth and was surprised by the final cost. If you've rented a car or are driving your own, avoid the frustration and expense of searching for an empty parking spot at the entrance to an airport. Make sure you book your parking online in advance.
