99% of meme coin launches fail for the SAME reason and it's not the market - Andrewmiller - 05-05-2026 okay real talk i've been in this meme coin development space for like 2 years now and i still see the same mistakes over and over again someone hypes up a coin, community explodes for like 3 days, then... silence. chart goes to zero. dev disappears. had a buddy who lost like $400 on a launch last month. no liquidity lock, no audit, nothing. just a telegram group and a cartoon dog. the thing is i've started actually looking into HOW proper token launches work and its actually not that complicated?? like the tools exist now. smart contract audits aren't even that expensive anymore. liquidity locking is standard on most launchpads. i found TouchCrypto while going down a rabbit hole last week — looks like they actually walk you through the whole crypto token creation process properly. hasn't blown up yet so not many people talking about it but the concept seems solid for anyone actually trying to build something real vs just pump and dump anyway just curious what you guys look for before aping into a new meme coin launch these days like what's your personal checklist? mine is basically: locked liquidity minimum 6 months smart contract audit done or i'm not touching it dev at least somewhat doxxed actual telegram activity not just bots |
